Did you know that the your skin is your body’s largest organ? Most people don’t realize this - and don’t realize that the skin often has special medical needs, ranging from the aesthetic (such as removal of benign but unsightly growths) to the essential (evaluation of suspicious moles). University Hospitals's Dermatology Department is recognized as a global center of excellence in all issues related to the skin: research and education, for example, as well as translating these research conclusions into clinical care that helps patients with skin abnormalities and diseases. Our research efforts span basic science of the skin to clinical trials of the most advanced medications and therapies demonstrated within a long tradition of treatment team excellence in patient-centered care, teaching and research. Care for all dermatologic conditions is available throughout Northeast Ohio.
