The Skin Study Center in the Department of Dermatology is conducting a research study for adults with Actinic keratoses (AK), Bowen's disease, Squamous cell carcinoma, Basal cell carcinoma, or Mycosis fungoides (MF stages IA, IIA, IB, or IIB). |

| Description: |
The Skin Study Center in the Department of Dermatology is conducting a research study for adults with Actinic keratoses (AK), Bowen's disease, Squamous cell carcinoma, Basal cell carcinoma, or Mycosis fungoides (MF stages IA, IIA, IB, or IIB). The trial involves a drug, phthalocyanine (Pc4) that is applied over the skin lesion. A laser light activates the Pc4 drug. The light is shone upon the lesion after application of the Pc4 drug solution. The research study lasts for two (2) weeks. All research exams, laboratory tests, treatment, and parking will be provided free of charge. |
| Criteria: |
Participants must have had a skin biopsy with a proven diagnosis of: Actinic keratoses (AK), Bowen's disease, Squamous cell carcinoma, Basal cell carcinoma, or Mycosis fungoides (MF stages IA, IIA, IB, or IIB). Participants must not be undergoing any anti-cancer therapy within two weeks prior to the trial. Participants must stop using photosensitizing medications for the two weeks prior to enrollment. |
