Members of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology are involved in a variety of active research projects many of which are performed on an interdepartmental basis with members of other clinical and basic science departments within the Medical School. These activities span the breathe of investigative Obstetrics and Gynecology, from direct clinical trials to basic laboratory research that can be translated to patient care. Members of the Division of Research strive to advance the understanding of women's health and reproduction. The Department's laboratory facilities for research and training include large core laboratory facilities on the 8th and 9th floors of the MacDonald Women's Hospital. The laboratories are fully equipped for up-to date research in molecular and cellular biology.
