Proceeds from Radiothon and activities for Rainbow’s kids are not covered through family medical insurance. Funded initiatives include tutors for children while at Rainbow, art & music therapy, purchase of books and computers for the library so children can stay in touch with friends and family.
100% of dollars raised during the 36 hours of broadcasting stay right here at Rainbow.Three months prior to Radiothon, Brian & Joe kickoff an event called Change Gang. Working with schools, businesses, community organizations and families, Change Gangs collect change from friends and co-workers. Families hold garage sales, businesses use fun ways to collect change within the workplace and local school children – grades K through college – collect change which is used to jump start Radiothon. Change Gang collections average $65,000 annually.
