The NICU at Rainbow is a modern 38-bed unit fully equipped to care for newborn infants with complex medical problems. The nursery is designated by the state as a Level III unit & is staffed by an array of specially trained & certified physicians, nurses, including neonatal nurse practitioners, therapists, & other consultant specialists. The NICU is one of twelve units in the USA designated by the NIH as a Neonatal Research Center.
