Dental Care
Oral heath is important for all children, but caring for the teeth of children with special healthcare needs can be especially important as part of protecting their overall health. This section provides resources for finding a dentist for your child.
American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry (AAPD)
The AAPD website has a “find a dentist” tool to help you locate a pediatric dentist in your area. Pediatric dentists have an extra 2 or 3 years of training after dental school. This specialized program of study and hands-on experience prepares pediatric dentists to meet the unique needs of infants, children and adolescents, including persons with special health care needs.
