About the program:
The overall goal of ULead is to create an organization with strategic leaders that collaborate together and are committed to creating a sustainable competitive advantage. This program will explore strategies and concepts of leadership through tactics such as user participation; profiles, discussions and collaborative projects. This program is designed as an important strategy in achieving University Hospitals’ Vision 2010 goals, focusing on building leaders who can support the expanding programs and services.
ULead programming features Lessons in Leadership forums and workshops designed to help those early in their careers develop leadership skills. Exposure to thought leaders – both within UH and from the greater Cleveland community – is a critical component and allows participants to gain insight into career planning, work/life balance, and what it takes to be a great leader.
Projects, such as United Way’s GeneratioNext will bring emerging leaders together to lead major community service initiatives. And through such projects, participants are given opportunities to build strong internal networks and boost organizational pride & camaraderie.
There are currently 4 committees within ULead:
- Professional Development
- Community Involvement
- Marketing & Membership
- Networking/Social Activities
Past Events:
January30th 2008, Lessons in Leadership with Thomas F. Zenty III, University Hospitals CEO
