How Do I Know Which Vaccines My Kids Need?
I've heard so much lately about new vaccines coming on the market, but I'm reluctant to get my son any shots that he doesn't really need. How do I know which ones he really should get?

To protect them from a number of potentially serious diseases, kids should receive all the vaccinations recommended for them by the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) and other immunization authorities.
Despite strong scientific evidence that the recommended vaccines are safe and effective, some parents may choose either to not vaccinate or partially vaccinate their children. In some cases, inadequate health insurance coverage and high out-of-pocket costs make it difficult for parents to have their kids receive all recommended vaccines. And state regulations differ regarding which ones are required prior to the start of school — some states allow exemptions from the requirements.
